I received my Master's Degree from New York University School of Social Work. I am certified in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Institute For Psychoanalytic Education, Affiliated with the NYU School of Medicine since 2001. In addition, I am certified in Advanced Clinical Supervision. I have over 22 years of experience as a psychotherapist, with a specialty in Women’s Issues and Adolescent Mental Health. I have expertise in Domestic Violence, both clinically and in running programs. My advanced clinical expertise in this area will allow me to help clients bring back their self-esteem and function in the world independently. I am an adjunct professor at NYU School of Social Work teaching Human Behavior. I held the position of Deputy Director of Social Work in General Care as well as Women's and Children’s Health at Elmhurst Hospital, before leaving to commit more time to my private practice. I have over 20 years of vast knowledge in administrative and social work experience doing direct clinical practice. Additionally, I have worked with FEMA to provide counseling to survivors of 9/11 who were suffering from PTSD. |
