Donna Cavalluzzi, LCSW-R
I received my Master's Degree from New York University School of Social Work. I am certified in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy since 2001 from the Psychoanalytic Association of New York. In addition, I am certified from NYU in Advanced Clinical Supervision. I have over 27 years of experience as a psychotherapist, with a specialty in Women’s Issues and Adolescent Mental Health. I have an eclectic approach to therapy, but primarily practice from a relational psychodynamic psychotherapy focus. I have clinical expertise in treating Domestic Violence survivors overcome trauma. My advanced clinical expertise in this area is used to help survivors regain their self-esteem and function in the world independently. I have taught as an adjunct professor at NYU School of Social Work in Human Behavior. I held the position of Deputy Director of Social Work in General Care as well as Women's and Children’s Health at Elmhurst Hospital for 20 years, before leaving to commit more time to my private practice.
